Come and see what the Sea Cadets get up to, as both cadets and adults. We'll be on show at Cassio Bridge (by the playground at the bottom of Baldwins Lane WD3 3DG) from 11 to 3. Kayaking, rowing, navigation, sailing, adventurous training and other activities will be on show, and you can talk to us about any of them.
Watford Art Club for ages 4-11 years old with professional artists and artist grade materials every Saturday 10-11am @ St Andrew's Church, Watford. Art Clubs are for children aged 4-11 years old either in schools or in public venues. Clubs have clear learning objectives designed to develop important artistic skills such as colour, shade, line, shape, form, tone & space whilst being fun and interactive! Children work with qualified artists and artist grade materials which will support students in their creative development. No, you wont find poster paint here! Children will use a wide range of artist's materials such as acrylic paint, watercolour paints, chalk and oil pastel and much more! All teachers are qualified and have years of experience working with children and the arts, giving students a great experience as well as an art education. The next Royal British Legion Women's Section fundraising dance (Charity No. 219279) is their Valentine's Dance. It is being held on Saturday 4th February 2017 from 7.30 pm - 11 pm in the R.B.L. Club Hall, 161 Watford Road, Croxley Green, WD3 3ED. Non-members are most welcome. Positive Movement exercise classes now running in Croxley Green on a Tuesday afternoon from 13.30-15.00 at Croxley Green Methodist Church. Positive Movement is designed for older people, anyone with mobility programmes, those at risk of falls, people living with long-term conditions (including stroke) and carers. Not to be confused with chair-based exercise, it is a unique programme which draws together elements of Mindfulness, the Alexander Technique (very effective in changing habits which cause back and neck strain) and a system of Yoga which has been developed in the US especially for people with mobility issues. Classes cost £3 and are an hour long with time afterwards to socialise over a cup of tea.
