Apple Picking and Pressing

We’re sorry to announce that we’ve had to make the difficult decision to cancel this year’s apple pressing event.

Last week, we were hopeful after inspecting the apples, thinking we might just manage to hold the event. But after checking again today, we found that most of the apples have fallen, and the remaining ones are either rotten or eaten.

We have explored alternatives, including sourcing apples elsewhere, but unfortunately, it’s not logistically or financially viable. With the winds still blowing, any remaining apples are likely to fall before the event.

We’re truly sorry, but there just aren’t enough apples this year to hold the event in the capacity.

We will be collecting the remaining apples next week which will be available to collect for free from the Parish Council Offices.
