National Children’s Gardening Week 2025 – The Return of Croxley Green’s Sunflower Competition!

Croxley Green Parish Council is excited to bring back the much-missed Sunflower Competition to celebrate National Children’s Gardening Week (24th May – 1st June 2025)!
Get ready to plant, nurture, and grow your tallest, brightest, and most beautiful sunflowers!
How to Take Part:
🌻 Collect your free sunflower seeds from the Parish Council Offices during opening hours.
🌱 Plant your seed, care for it, and watch it grow!
📸 Submit your competition entry (including measurements and a photo) by Monday, 1st September 2025 to events@croxleygreen-pc.gov.uk
Prizes will be awarded for:
🏆 Tallest Sunflower – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
🌞 Best Sunflower Selfie – A prize for the most fun or creative selfie with your sunflower.
🌻 Widest Sunflower Head – A Prize for the largest flower head in diameter.
🌼 Prettiest Sunflower – most visually stunning bloom
🌿 Best Effort – for dedication and creativity in growing.
Adults are also welcome to join in the fun!
