The Great British Spring Clean

This year, Croxley Green Parish Council is thrilled to announce our participation in The Great British Spring Clean, the nation’s largest mass-action environmental campaign. We’re reaching out to you with an exciting invitation to join us in this meaningful endeavour!
Together with thousands of dedicated volunteers across the country, we’re committed to making a difference in our community. We’re calling upon all residents, local community groups and organisations to join forces with us in making Croxley Green and its surrounding areas cleaner and greener.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Join our Organised Community Litter Picks:
- Saturday, 9th March, between 11am – 3pm, meeting at the Mil Lane end of Weston wood to cover areas around the woods, moor, and canal.
- Tuesday, 12th March, between 11am – 4.30pm, meeting at the Parish Council Offices to cover footpaths and boundaries.
- Arrange Your Own Event: If you’re unable to attend our organised events, we encourage you to organise your own! We’re here to support you every step of the way, providing all the necessary equipment and assistance needed for your community initiative.
Whether you can join us for our scheduled events or prefer to organise your own, your participation makes a significant impact. Together, we can create a cleaner, greener environment for everyone to enjoy.
Last year, the nation’s #LitterHeroes picked up more than 400,000 bags of litter throughout the campaign period. Following a very successful community litter pick at the beginning of February, we believe we could make a positive impact on our immediate environment. We encourage ALL residents to participate in the campaign to help make Croxley Green greener!
If you are unable to attend one of our organised community litter pick but wish to take part in the campaign by organising your own, please do reach out by emailing events@croxleygreen-pc.gov.uk, we have all the equipment needed and are more than happy to supply to those wanting to use it.
