The next meeting of the Metropolitan Line Extension (MLX) Community Liaison Group will be held on Wednesday 5 October, which is a change of date to what was previously advertised.

The Community Liaison Group is made up of a number of members which represent local residents and stakeholders. The meeting aims to provide a forum through which the MLX team can provide an update on the project and interested parties can raise matters of interest or concern regarding the construction work.

The group meets quarterly in public with the local residents and businesses welcome to attend any meeting. The presentations and minutes from past meetings can be found on the MLX webpage.

The October meeting will focus on the current utilities work around Baldwins Lane and Watford Road, an update on the project and a presentation on noise levels.

From Tuesday 2 August to Thursday 4 August (from 9.30am to 4pm) there will be single lane working on Baldwins Lane managed by stop/go signage. This is to undertake some additional trial holes by Thames Water.

Over August BT and Virgin will also be on site doing minor work on the pavements and verges. Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to continue to use the footways during this time.

Work is currently being undertaken on the designs and programmes for significant sewer diversions in Baldwins Lane and Watford Road which is due to begin in Autumn.

A second public access defibrillator has now been installed at the Baptist Church, Baldwins Lane.  The Parish Council is installing a number of such units in Croxley Green and a unit is already installed at the Parish Council’s offices in Community Way.  We all hope that such units are never required but in the event they are needed they will be there.

In the event of an emergency always, always immediately dial 999.  The Ambulance Service are aware of where the defibrillator is located and will tell you where the nearest one is and the access code to remove the unit from its security box.  Always stay in contact with the ambulance service but the defibrillator with its voice instructions will tell you what you need to do.  More info to follow.

Flowers for Croxley (F4C) have regretably had to announce today (29 June) that due to insufficient entries into the Garden Competition they have had to cancel the event.

F4C is a partnership with Croxley Green Parish Council and the community of Croxley Green to effectively coordinate the provision and maintenance of floral displays throughout the village.
