The Parish Council, along with all other local authority Council’s, has adopted a Code of Conduct for its Members (Councillors) that sets out rules governing their behaviour. The Code of Conduct, below, applies to all elected, co-opted and independent Members of the Parish Council.
The Code of Conduct covers areas of individual behaviour such as Councillors not abusing their position or not misusing their authority’s resources. If you believe that a Councillor has breached the Code of Conduct and you want to complain that a Councillor of Croxley Green Parish Council has failed to comply with the Code of Conduct, please write to:
The Monitoring Officer, c/o Three Rivers District Council, Three Rivers House, Northway, Rickmansworth, Herts WD3 1RL
The Localism Act 2011, under which the Code of Conduct has been made, places a legal duty on Councillors to register and disclose "Discloseable Pecuniary Interests" and Other Interests, the description of which are set out in the Code. It is also a legal requirement that such declarations are published on the Council's web site - please see Register of Interests.
