Join us this evening in commemorating the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings as Croxley Green Parish Council stands alongside hundreds of local authorities nationwide.
This significant event marks a pivotal moment in history when Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy, turning the tide of World War II.
As we pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom, join us for a special ceremony on The Green (opposite entrance to Parrots Close), where we will honour the memory of the courageous soldiers who landed on the shores of France on June 6, 1944.
Main event taking place on The Green from 9 pm
9.00 pm – Proclamation
9.05 pm – Tribute to Scottish Piper William Millin.
9.10 pm – International Tribute.
9.15 pm – Lighting of the Beacon and Lamps of Peace.
