Charity Dog Show Raises £2,110 for Herts Musical Memories and Herts Carers Charities

The local community came together in a heartwarming show of support at this year's Charity Dog Show, raising an impressive £2,110 for Herts Musical Memories and Herts Carers, two vital charities providing much-needed services across the county.

Held on Sunday 6th October, the event saw dog owners and their four-legged companions compete in a variety of fun categories, from “Waggiest Tail” to “Best Rescue.” The day was filled with excitement, laughter, and a sense of togetherness, with all proceeds going towards these incredible causes.

A huge thank you goes out to all the local businesses that generously donated raffle prizes, which helped make the fundraising a success. From gift hampers to dining vouchers, the community spirit shone through in the contributions. Additionally, our gratitude extends to the stallholders who kindly contributed a portion of their proceeds to the charity efforts. Their support, alongside the generosity of the event attendees, played a major role in achieving such an amazing result.

The success of the day wouldn’t have been possible without the hundreds of residents who came along, participated, and showed their support. Whether entering their dogs, buying raffle tickets, or simply enjoying the day out, each and every one of you helped make a difference.

Both Herts Musical Memories, which works to support people with dementia through music therapy, and Herts Carers, which offers essential respite and support to carers in the community, will benefit directly from the funds raised. These donations will go a long way in continuing their important work.

Thank you again to everyone involved for making the event such a fantastic success. We look forward to seeing you all next year for another fun-filled day for a great cause!
