Croxley Green celebrated Diwali with an unforgettable evening outside the Library on Barton Way on October 27th, drawing hundreds of people to enjoy music, dance, and vibrant cultural activities. This was the first Diwali event hosted in Croxley, and the Parish Council’s dedicated staff and volunteers made it a grand success.
The event featured traditional singing, mesmerizing dance performances, classical Indian music, and interactive activities like diya and lantern making for all ages. The evening’s highlight was the grand finale—illuminating the Birch Trees, casting a beautiful glow over the crowd.
Councillor Cheryl Stungo shared her enthusiasm: “Bringing Diwali to Croxley Green has brought the community together in such a joyous and meaningful way. Seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces tonight was incredible!”
The Parish Council was also grateful for Councillor Raj Khiroya, Chair of Three Rivers District Council, who joined to support the festivities.
This event is a testament to Croxley Green’s vibrant community spirit, and we look forward to continuing this new tradition in the years to come.
