My husband Digby and I moved to Croxley mid lockdown in 2021. We had been living in London for 12 years but with our jobs moving to primarily working from home, wanted more space (and a dog!). Croxley was the logical move for us, we already loved the village from visiting family here and it allows us to be close to the beautiful countryside, while still having great access to London for work and seeing friends.
The first thing my Father asked me when I said I was moving to Croxley was if I was going to join the Parish Council. He was a Councillor in my home village of Haddenham in Buckinghamshire for 20 years and I saw the huge difference the work he and those he worked alongside made to the village and community I grew up in, so it was always inevitable that I would stand for election. From the moment we moved here I was so impressed with all the work the Parish Council does to bring the community together in a range of different ways, and I’m really enjoying being part of that and meeting so many local residents.
My day job is in adverting, I have been working in London agencies for 20 years, and my current role is working in client management for an agency that produces TV ads.
In my spare time I love walking in the local area with my Wire haired Dachshund, Twiglet, cooking and gardening. I am also part of the team that run beer festivals for charity back in Haddenham and I hope one day to bring such a festival to Croxley!
