I was born in Croxley Green in 1969, and moved to Sarratt in 1973, after a period in Ashley Green, my family moved back to Rickmansworth in 1985, and l lived there until I moved to London in 1998. My wife and I moved back to the area in 2015 settling in North Watford. I went to nursery school in Croxley Green, then briefly York House and on to schools in Amersham and then in Henley-on-Thames. I was a teacher of Politics for 27 years at various FE and sixth form colleges including Richmond upon Thames College, Uxbridge College, City of Westminster College and for the last 11 years of my teaching career at St Dominic’s Sixth Form College in Harrow. I took early retirement in August of 2025.
In the local area I am Vice-chair of governors at Cassiobury Junior School in Watford, a trustee of Hertfordshire Dyslexia Association and I am part of the welcome team at my local church, Soul Survivor Watford. As a member of Croxley Green Parish Council I not only want to contribute to its future but also to ensure its past is protected and to keep Croxley special. As a former politics teacher, I know I have to keep my political views private but I strongly believe in equality, social justice and compassion. My personal interests include football, I am a keen supporter of Tottenham Hotspur, watching cricket, and taking part in pub quizes. As a parish councillor for Croxley Green, I will listen to what the community wants and to help to try to achieve any changes required.
