Croxley Green Parish Council is excited to announce the installation of two “Welcome to Croxley Green” signs, designed to create a welcoming atmosphere for both residents and visitors.
One of the new signs is located at the entrance to the Byewaters Estate. This decision followed a recent council discussion, where it was noted that some residents of the estate felt a need for stronger integration into the Croxley Green community. By placing the sign at Blackmoor Lane, the Parish Council hopes to foster a greater sense of belonging and inclusivity for Byewaters residents.
The second sign, which has been restored by Parish Councillor Valeria Aguiar, now stands atat the centre of the two bridges leading into Croxley Green from Watford. This entryway is a key route into the village, and the new sign will serve as a visible reminder of Croxley Green’s unique charm to those arriving from surrounding areas.
To maintain consistency with existing signage, both new signs have been crafted by Signs of the Times, the same company responsible for the previous installations. The new signs are designed to mirror the size, style, and materials of the current ones, ensuring a cohesive look across all village entrances.
In a move to further beautify these welcome points, planters will be added beneath the signs. These floral displays will not only enhance the visual appeal of the signs but also contribute to the overall green and friendly environment Croxley Green is known for.
The Parish Council is confident that these new signs and accompanying planters will strengthen the village’s identity and continue to support efforts that bring the community together.
