Councillor

Cllr John Jowers

My wife Monique and I moved to Croxley Green in 1986. I was working as a secondary school teacher in Stanmore and Monique as a financial advisor to many local primary schools. We are both retired now. Both our boys went to local primary and secondary schools.

I went to Southampton University where I studied Spanish.

Ever since moving to Croxley Green we have been involved in the local community. We have an allotment and I am show-secretary for The Croxley Green Annual Home & Produce Show.  For many years I was a Samaritan in the Watford branch and during the Covid years I was a vaccination centre volunteer.

I am keen on walking, running and cycling in our local countryside as well as regularly going into London to take advantage of its many cultural opportunities. Croxley Green is ideally placed for both of these activities.

I was co-opted to the Parish Council in 2024 and I am on the Leisure, Events and Environment Committee.

In my role as Parish Councillor, I hope to support the team in all the work they do to make Croxley Green such a special place to live.
