Community Spirit Celebrated at Croxley Green Annual Parish Meeting

Residents gathered at Croxley Green Community Club for the Annual Parish Meeting, celebrating the volunteers, organisations and projects that continue to strengthen village life.

Chaired by Cllr Natalie Reed, the meeting included updates from the Parish Council on planning, environmental projects and local improvements carried out over the past year.

Councillors highlighted the review of 139 planning applications and the successful delivery of 45 events throughout the year. They also outlined ongoing support for the Community Bus service, the work of the Parish Rangers and a range of local projects funded through the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).

Funding supported a wide range of projects across the village, including major improvements to Barton Way Play Area, investment in local schools and outdoor learning facilities, upgrades to sports and recreation venues, flood prevention works and wellbeing initiatives.

Local organisations including The Friends of the Moor, The Guild of Sport, Parish Nurse, Thrive2gether and the Croxley Residents Association also shared updates on their work across the village.

One of the evening’s highlights came from the Croxley Green Youth Council, who presented plans for a heritage telephone box project and a road safety campaign focused on safer cycling routes and 20mph limits near schools.

Closing the meeting, Cllr Reed thanked residents, volunteers and local organisations for their continued dedication to village life, praising the strong sense of togetherness that makes Croxley Green such a welcoming and supportive place to live.

The evening reflected the dedication of residents and organisations working to improve local facilities, support neighbours and help shape the future of the village.
